There are a lot of people that would like to know how to make the Windows 7 taskbar work more like XP or Vista. Today we will learn How to Add the Quick Launch Bar to the Taskbar. This is a very useful and nice trick and it’s really easy to do that, although it will take a few more steps. Follow the instruction and you will get the taskbar like XP or Vista. First thing you will have to do is right-click on an open area of the taskbar, and choose Toolbars > New Toolbar from the menu. Now you have to copy and paste this code on the location bar as a direct path to the folder we are looking for:
After that you will notice the Quick Launch toolbar on the taskbar (on the right side). Ok, before moving the Quick Launch toolbar to the left side, you will need to right-click and unlock the taskbar but now you’ll want to adjust the regular taskbar toolbar to be closer to the left, so use the dotted lines to drag it over as well. Now right-click on the dotted lines and uncheck “Show Text” as well as “Show Title” from the menu.
and that’s all. You will see something like this on your taskbar:
