Hack to make your system appear as a Super Computer!

Here I will show you how to hack the Windows Experience Index Base score and subscores and increase it to 9.9 Rating!
Background Info:
The Windows Experience Index measures the capability of your computer's hardware and software configuration and expresses this measurement as a number called a base score. A higher base score generally means that your computer will perform better and faster than a computer with a lower base score, especially when performing more advanced and resource-intensive tasks.

Each hardware component receives an individual subscore. Your computer's base score is determined by the lowest subscore. For example, if the lowest subscore of an individual hardware component is 2.6, then the base score is 2.6. The base score is not an average of the combined subscores.
In Vista maximum Base Score is 5.9 and that in W7 is 7.9.

For Windows 7, A system with a score of 2 is typically sufficient for basic computer tasks like word processing or web browsing. Graphics–intensive software frequently requires a 3 or higher.

To See Your Windows Experience Index Base score:
Open Performance Information and Tools by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Performance Information and Tools.

Now let us learn how to hack and increase it to 9.9!:
Navigate to this location: C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore. There you will see one or more XML document file(s).[Depending on the no. of time you have upgraded the Hardware component of your system]

  • Copy and paste your file somewhere to create a backup.
  • Now Right-click the original file and go to Edit OR Open it with WordPad. [Open the latest file if there are more than one]
Change all your System-scores and subscrores to 9.9:
  • Now save the file in a different location, say Documents folder with exactly same name n file extension.
  • Now copy the just saved file from the location [i.e Document folder here] and replace the original file in C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore.
  • Now open Windows Experience Index as described earlier and see. Your computer is turned into a Super Computer!
Note: There is no change to the performance of the system. But only the change in the numbers!
